Coworking contracts

Coworking spaces are a popular option for digital nomads and remote workers in Colombia. Before signing, understand what each plan includes and which obligations you take on.

Types of plans

  • Day or hourly pass: flexible, no commitment.
  • Flexible desk: any free seat within the space's opening hours.
  • Dedicated desk: your own seat and sometimes a locker.
  • Private office: for small teams, with a more formal contract.

What to review in the contract

Check the term, notice period, automatic renewal, deposit, access hours, meeting room use and extra charges (printing, coffee, parking). Ask whether you can receive mail or use the address for paperwork.

Connection and backup

Ask about the type of internet, contracted speed and whether there is a backup during outages. If your work depends on video calls, run a test before committing.

Invoicing and payments

Ask whether they issue an electronic invoice in your name or your company's and which payment methods they accept. Keep receipts for your accounting.

Frequently asked questions

Can I try before contracting?

Many spaces offer a trial pass or a free day. Ask before signing.

Is there a minimum commitment?

It depends on the plan. Flexible passes usually have none; private offices do.

What if I want to leave early?

Review the early termination clause and the notice required; negotiate it in writing before paying.
