Banrep extract for the investor visa: what it is and why the file dies without it

Cancillería requires proof that foreign investment is registered in the Banco de la República exchange information system. Without that extract, the investor route is incomplete — no matter how much you paid for the apartment.

What the document is

Not the title study alone. Not the deed alone. It is evidence that the investment is registered in your name at Banrep at the amounts the category requires (350 SMMLV property or 650 FDI).

Correct order

1. Structure the purchase or capital with title / FX guidance.
2. Complete foreign investment registration.
3. Obtain the extract Cancillería asks for.
4. Build the rest of the file (solvency, 5477 plan, forms).
